There comes a point where growth requires honesty.
When I first built this space, I was in a different season of life. Different relationships. Different mindset. Different voice. And as I revisited those earlier blogs, I realized something important: I’ve evolved.
My writing has sharpened. My perspective has deepened. And my life—personally and professionally—has shifted in ways that those old words simply no longer reflect.
So instead of holding on to what no longer aligned, I chose to honor my growth.
This isn’t just an update to a website. This is a reintroduction.

What This Space Is Now
This platform is dedicated to financial wellness through a real-life lens—especially for those navigating work, growth, and self-development all at once.
Yes, I work in life insurance. But my mission goes far beyond selling a product.
Too many people—especially in our communities—are working hard every day while leaving valuable resources untouched. Benefits go unused. Support systems sit idle. And often, it’s not because people don’t care—it’s because no one ever taught us how to leverage what we already have fully.
Historically, access to financial literacy, wealth-building tools, and even basic workplace protections has been denied or limited for Black communities—from the inability to own property, to exclusion from New Deal programs, to workplace discrimination that still echoes today. So when we talk about “benefits,” we’re not just talking about perks—we’re talking about access, awareness, and empowerment.
This space exists to help change that.
What We’ll Talk About Here
We’re getting practical and intentional about using what’s already within reach.
That includes:
Understanding your workplace benefits (not just having them)
Leveraging tools like life insurance, retirement plans, and health coverage
Exploring often-overlooked resources like therapy, coaching, EAP programs, and wellness perks
Building habits that support both your financial health and your overall well-being
Because financial wellness isn’t just about money—it’s about stability, clarity, and the ability to make empowered decisions in your life.
What’s Coming Next
This is just the beginning.
In the near future, I’ll be expanding into leadership development, with a focus on:
Emotional intelligence
Social-emotional learning
Workplace and personal trauma awareness
Conflict resolution
Self-leadership and growth
Because leadership isn’t just about titles—it’s about how you show up for yourself and others.
And for many of us, especially within the Black community, navigating professional spaces often comes with unspoken challenges—microaggressions, bias, and systemic barriers. Microaggressions are everyday verbal, nonverbal, and environmental slights or insults—intentional or not—that communicate negative or dismissive messages toward Black people. They may seem small, but they carry weight and impact mental, emotional, and professional well-being.
That’s why this work matters. We’re not just building careers—we’re building resilience, awareness, and agency.
A Space for Both Professional and Personal Growth
While this platform will focus on professional development and financial wellness, I also believe in transparency and storytelling.
For a deeper, more personal look into my journey—where I’ve been, what I’ve learned, and how I’ve grown—you can find me on Substack.
Because both spaces matter:
Here → Strategy, tools, and structured growth
There → Story, reflection, and lived experience
Start Here: Your First Step
If you’re ready to begin, I created something specifically for you:
A free 5-step guide to help you understand and maximize your workplace benefits.
Because chances are—you already have access to more than you think.
You just need to know how to use it.
Final Thought
Growth requires letting go of outdated versions of yourself—and stepping fully into who you are becoming.
This space reflects that.
And if you’re on a journey to become a better version of yourself—financially, emotionally, and professionally—you’re in the right place.
Thank you for being here.
As always, Affirm the life you want, Create the space for it to be, and it will Manifest.
